Hverir: Smoky Quartz # 2
Hverir: Smoky Quartz # 2
North Iceland has notable geothermal regions in and around Lake Mývatn, the most dramatic being Hverir Geothermal Area. The landscape is marked with mudpots, steam vents and fumaroles (an opening in the planet’s crust) that pump steam in heavy, warm clouds of gas from the earth. Here, the color palette of the landscape ranges from light gray to muddy beige with a backdrop of smoky brown-gray steam.
This surreal landscape is embodied in the Smoky Quartz pendants of the SIGIL Iceland Collection. The beautiful minerals selected each have their own characteristics, from elestial smoky (metaphysically known to combat depression) to exceptional color and translucency.
Smoky quartz is associated with grounding and protection properties, including the neutralization of negative energies and detoxification.
The SIGIL Hverir Smoky Quartz # 2 has excellent clarity throughout and a distinctively geometric body shape that, together, make this piece really stand out. The color is a pale, even light brown-gray, throughout, and light plays off the surface. Measurements: 2 3/8" long from top of ring to bottom of stone x 3/4” at widest. Elegant and simple black metal chain is 24” long.
Not recommended for children. Avoidance of dropping is recommended.
