The most slender, perfectly straight piece in the LAVA collection, this final piece is a beautiful opaque red quartz pendant with features that fire the imagination. The glass-like impression of the mineral allows diffused light to pass through and dark red stripes are visible only when held to the light.

Volcanic activity is a defining aspect of Iceland, yet the Icelanders have learned to adapt to the threat over the centuries. This was not always the case, and eruptions led to many deaths and large-scale destruction among early settlers, who had little to no warning. Despite modernization, Iceland is still very much the land of Fire & Ice, as the active volcanoes demonstrate to this day. SIGIL honors the element of Fire through ten red quartz and “rooster” amphibole pieces in the LAVA category.
