When the nights cool down, the Icelandic skies light up. Look skyward after dark, and if the circumstances are just right, your eye will detect the dance of Norðurljós. Labradorite mineral represents the Northern Lights for the Iceland Collection II. the brilliance and incredible color found in especially in the mineral’s natural “flash” is reminiscent of the breathtaking colors of the Aurora Borealis that illuminate the chilly northern night and leave all that witness it in pure awe.

Each labradorite featured in this category was hand-selected by the designer with the beauty and mysticism associated with this natural phenomena. The face side is smooth and polished, while the sides and rear are left in their original, rough state. The rugged back of each labradorite has a subdued “flash” of it’s own, reflecting the same colors back, as on the front.

Set with epoxy putty and copper wire, this piece is offered on a generously long 1/8” wide suede cord. The cord may be easily shortened by retying the knot at the back to the length desired.

Pendant # 4 has a dominant palette of yellow with highlights of black, green, yellow and red. Streaks of black fly across the face, like the streaks of the Aurora as they form across the night sky. The piece is a beautiful diamond shape, which only adds to the unique qualities of this piece.
