Kawa Karpo
Dêqên County, Yunnan Province Height: 6,000 m (19,700 ft)
The Kawa Karpo has long since been regarded as one of the most sacred mountain in all of Asia. The Kawa Karpo, a breathtaking and dazzling sight because of its snow caped splendor and rugged demeanor, is believed to be the spiritual resting place of a warrior God, Kawagarbo. The location holds strong bonds of devotion to both Buddhists and Hindus.
The SIGIL Tibetan Quartz named after Kawa Karpo has a clean, narrow, blade-like straight column with a smaller, prominent twin visible at the base. The pendant is made entirely by hand by the designer, using epoxy putty and copper wire to create an organic, seamless base to showcase the one-of-a-kind mineral. The piece is strung on a 25” stainless steel chain with lobster claw opening.
