Volcanic activity is a defining aspect of Iceland, yet the Icelanders have learned to adapt to the threat over the centuries. This was not always the case, and eruptions led to many deaths and large-scale destruction among early settlers, who had little to no warning. Despite modernization, Iceland is still very much the land of Fire & Ice, as the active volcanoes demonstrate to this day. SIGIL honors the element of Fire & Ice through carefully selected red and red/clear quartz specimen pendants in the Fire & Ice Category.

This particular specimen has a deep, dark red color throughout a nice 3” + long, smooth body that leads to a single termination. It is strung on a smooth suede leather cord. The red color resembles lava, which has been a common phenomenon in Iceland over the centuries with the regular volcanic activity native to the island. A raw look pendant that evokes fire and passion in artists, creatives or anyone!
