Skógafoss (which directly translates to Forest Waterfall), located along Iceland’s southern coast, is one of the largest waterfalls in the country. With its thundering sound and 60 meter drop, standing close to it awakens the senses. There is a legend that around 900 AD Þrasi Þórólfsson, the Viking Settler at Skógar, hid a treasure chest in a cave behind the waterfall. Whether or not you find the chest, the real treasure is the waterfall. The characteristic multiple bands of cascading water of Skógafoss are represented in the Iceland Collection double terminating clear quartz crystal.
